The week of March 28th to April 3rd
The big news for this week is we found out we are going to be having a boy. We are all excited. There will be another blog about the ultrasound once we get the DVD unstuck and can post some pictures.
I was home on spring break which was nice after a week of finals. This turned out to be a great week. Rachel got her Proteach certification results back and she passed. I got my grades and I did better than I thought (much better than I did in my first college life). Owen started saying his "th". "Kank you" is now "Thank you". Ella's lazy eye came back at the beginning of the week and is fading off. She gave Owen a "zurber" that was so loud she scared herself and thought she broke his belly.

March 31, 2011- Vancouver BC Aquarium
Our family packed up the civic, dropped our volvo off at Les Schwab to get the studded tires removed and headed our for a day trip up to Vancouver BC. It was a day of firsts. Owen had his first dental appointment at Kulshan pediatric dentistry, and Ella visited Canada for the first time. Owen's teeth were fine and Ella did fine during the border crossing. The border crossing was less than 5 minutes going in. The aquarium is in Stanley Park which is my favorite park. When we were driving around Stanley Park we were laughing about when Rachel was 7 months pregnant with Owen, we biked around Stanley Park and she claims "you made me bike up the steep hill". Owen was commenting about how he could see the sun in all directions.

The kids liked all of the exhibits. Their attention spans were short which we expected. Ella really liked the seals and the jelly fish. Owen was into everything, especially the birds in the Amazon exhibit. We saw dolphins and beluga whales. The aquarium had a Dora the Explorer 4-D movie which was 20 minutes. It was awesome. Dora and Diego swung from vines, flew in a plane etc. It was amazing. The 4D glasses fit well.

For the majority of my break, I worked on our backyard. Rachel, Owen, and Ella were big helpers. Ella was starting to be able to pickup tools like the play hammer and hit some boards. Owen helped me measure, mark where cuts needed to be made, use the speed square, and use the level. It was awesome.
Unfortnately, Ella's eyecrossing came came back again (which is for another blog), but Rachel secured a Doctor's appointment Toyota Sienna minivan.
